Weekend Long EventsCHAINSAW CARVING COMPETITION
Every day features a one hour quick carve competition. Then spectators have the chance to bid on their favorite pieces. MUSIC TBA Saturday & Sunday New Events This Year Greased Pole Contest Contestants must be between 16 and 66 years of age. Under 18 requires parental approval. The object is for two people on a greased pole to try to knock the other off. The first one off loses and a cash prize will go to the one who stayed on. This is a 3 day event. On Friday it will begin at noon. On Saturday it will be held at 9 am and Sunday at 1:30. Kids Treasure Hunt Contestants must be 9 years old or under. One child at a time will search through a pile of sawdust for a wooden coin which will then be traded for a prize. One prize per child. There are many prizes and they will be awarded with the age of the child in mind. Each day there will be one grand prize which is a remote control car and is given to the child who finds the gold coin. This event is Friday at 2:30, Saturday 11:30 and Sunday at 2:30. Skillet Toss This is a one day event and will take place on Sunday at 9am. It is open only to female contestants and the winner of the prize will be the one who tossed the skillet the farthest. |

Over 100 years ago this area was spotted with large encampments of lumberjacks who were harvesting the trees. Historical interpreters explain the skills and lifestyles of the woodhick. |

Two of our favorite lumberjacks Arden Cogar Jr. and Mike Sullivan will entertain the audience with demonstrations of the skills needed to be a lumberjack AMATEUR COMPETITION Ordinary people get to compete in traditional lumberjack games while getting advice from the top lumberjacks in the country. |
