Hometown
Webster Springs, W. Va.

Height
5'10"

Weight
255 pounds

Occupation
Civil defense trial attorney at MacCorkle, Lavender & Sweeney

Favorite event
Single Buck or One Person Crosscut Training for the Single Buck, for me, is about pure aggression. Nothing makes a stressful day at the office go away like a good single buck training session..

Training routine
I try to weight train three times a week, but I practice yoga and tai chi daily. I also meditate several times a day. I normally alternate weight training days and event sport-specific training days, as age simply won't allow me do them on the same day anymore. As an aside, and a sedentary 'white collar stiff', I try to get at least two hours of physical activity a day, no matter what type of activity that may be.

Accolades/awards/competitions won
Multiple time Carhartt Chopping Champion, multiple medal winner in the Men's Endurance event at ESPN's Great Outdoor Games, and multiple STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series Finalist; 2006 Standing Block World Champion; Winner of 40 Individual World Titles including the All Around World Title at the 2007 Webster County Woodchopping Festival; Captain of STIHL's United States National Lumberjack Team.
